Biography
Watertown: Lucille G. Taylor, 74, of Oak Dr. passed away peacefully Saturday February 27th at St Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Charles H. Taylor.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Waterbury, CT, May 14, 1935, daughter of the late Domenic and Josephine (Martino) Giannini. She was raised in Oakville and lived there for most of her life before moving to Watertown 26 years ago. She graduated from Watertown High School and St Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1956. Mrs. Taylor was a Registered Nurse and had worked at St Mary’s Hospital. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Church.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles H. Taylor; 4 children: William Taylor and his wife Chloe Mantel of Wellesley, MA, Jim Taylor and his wife Karen Erwin Taylor of Southbury, Joanne Taylor Feehley and her husband James Feehley of Wilton, and Christopher Taylor and his wife Jennie Park-Taylor of Ramsey, NJ; 3 siblings: Lillian Lauretano of Thomaston, Charles Giannini and his wife Rita of Oakville, and Francis “Butch” Giannini and his wife Connie “Cookie” of Watertown; 8 grandchildren Taylor and Mitchell Feehley, Nicholas and Alexander Taylor, Paige and Grace Taylor, and Julia and Charles Taylor.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 3rd at 9:00am from Hickcox Funeral Home 195 Main St Watertown to Our Lady of Loreto Church 12 Ardsley Rd Waterbury where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00-8:00pm.
